By accessing or using Slant's website, applications, or services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding legal agreement to use Slant. The Service is designed for commercial real estate professionals and business use.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Slant provides an AI-powered platform for commercial real estate site analysis, including location intelligence, demographic analysis, traffic data aggregation, competitive analysis, and report generation.
Our Service integrates data from third-party sources including Esri, Placer.ai, Google Maps, and other providers. Access to certain data may be subject to additional terms from these providers.
Reports and analyses generated by Slant use artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes and should not be the sole basis for investment or business decisions. You are responsible for independently verifying critical information.
We aim to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
For team or enterprise plans, the account administrator is responsible for managing user access and ensuring compliance with these Terms by all users under the account.
You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to protect your credentials.
Slant offers various subscription plans including free (Starter), paid monthly/annual (Pro), and custom enterprise plans. Plan features and pricing are described on our website and may change with notice.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your plan.
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your plan. Your billing cycle begins on the date you subscribe.
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days notice. Price changes will apply to your next billing cycle after the notice period.
All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes. You are responsible for all taxes associated with your subscription, except for taxes based on our income.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to process it again. After multiple failures, we may suspend or terminate your access. You remain responsible for any uncollected amounts.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new paid subscriptions. If you're not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of your initial purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, subscriptions are non-refundable.
Annual subscriptions may be eligible for a prorated refund if cancelled within the first 30 days, at our discretion. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable.
If you're on a free trial, you will not be charged unless you convert to a paid plan. We will notify you before your trial ends.
You may use Slant for legitimate commercial real estate analysis, report generation, and related professional purposes. You may share reports with clients and stakeholders as part of your business activities.
You retain ownership of data and files you upload to Slant. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, analyze, and display it as necessary to provide the Service.
Reports generated through Slant may be used, distributed, and shared for your business purposes. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you include and how you represent the reports to third parties.
You may not use the Service to: violate any laws; infringe intellectual property rights; transmit malware or harmful code; attempt to gain unauthorized access; scrape or harvest data beyond normal use; or engage in any activity that disrupts the Service.
You may not misrepresent Slant-generated content as human-generated, claim false affiliations, or use the Service to deceive or defraud others.
You may not resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to third parties outside your organization without our written consent.
You may not attempt to circumvent usage limits, authentication measures, or other technical restrictions of the Service.
Slant and its licensors retain all rights to the Service, including software, AI models, designs, trademarks, and content we provide. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.
You retain all rights to your data, uploaded files, and proprietary information. We claim no ownership over your content.
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use such feedback for any purpose.
Third-party data, logos, and content displayed through the Service remain the property of their respective owners and are subject to their terms.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends immediately.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. We will provide notice when possible.
Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Service. We may delete your data after a reasonable retention period. Sections regarding intellectual property, limitations of liability, indemnification, and disputes survive termination.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY CONTENT, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED ANALYSES.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY OR AVAILABILITY OF THIRD-PARTY DATA SOURCES. DATA FROM ESRI, PLACER, GOOGLE, AND OTHER PROVIDERS IS SUBJECT TO THEIR RESPECTIVE TERMS AND LIMITATIONS.
SLANT DOES NOT PROVIDE LEGAL, FINANCIAL, INVESTMENT, OR REAL ESTATE ADVICE. REPORTS AND ANALYSES ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. CONSULT QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS BEFORE MAKING BUSINESS DECISIONS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SLANT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO SLANT IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR DAMAGES, SO SOME LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Slant and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your content; or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to try to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at legal@slantcre.com. We will try to resolve the dispute within 30 days.
If informal resolution fails, you and Slant agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.
You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive the right to participate in class actions or class-wide arbitration.
For disputes not subject to arbitration, you consent to exclusive jurisdiction in the state and federal courts located in Kings County (Brooklyn), New York.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms for specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and Slant regarding the Service.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision in the future.
You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations freely.
Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or government actions.
